2000 Kawasaki Eliminator 125 Available Used Only
2000 Kawasaki Eliminator 125 - Used
The Eliminator 125 is another example of the type of bike we just wished for above (see Honda Magna 250): the attractive smaller bikes manufacturers have stopped importing to North America. The Eliminator 125 has a sleek, muscular look recalling Kawasaki's Eliminator line of musclebikes from the 1980s and 90s. The single-cylinder 124cc engine cranks out 12 horsepower, lower than other beginner bikes, but then again, it's the only 125cc machine in the running. This is a perfect bike on which to learn the basic maneuvers, commute to work, have fun, etc., and look good while doing it. Seat height: 26.5 inches.

Love the eliminator - pity they don't continue to sell them new. Great trainer bike in class and a real gem to ride - very forgiving motor, comfy low seat and just generally very nice to the rider.

Only gave it a B because it can't be taken on the highway.

I gave it an A. Despite the bike's half-displacement disadvantage over other entry level machines, the 125 offers the roomiest ride of the batch so that makes up for the power losses. Freeway use is an issue though, especially in states with a minimum size restriction. That and from what has been reported the bike won't achieve freeway speeds.

Great, lightweight in-town bike. For folks who don't need a highway capable mount (meaning 60+mph), it is an excellent machine. Not imported or made currently (not sure about overseas). The Eliminator comes back every couple of years. I gave it an A.
