2003 Honda Shadow A.C.E. 750
With the 750 Shadow we move into the category of bikes that are suitable primarily for larger beginners or for those who have already mastered the basic controls of a motorcycle. The Shadow 750 is wide and beefy--a full-sized cruiser modeled after Harley-Davidson's best-selling Fat Boy. The A.C.E.'s knock-out appearance draws attention whenever it goes; its generous chrome accents gleam and glint with the best of them. To cut costs, Honda outfitted the bike with chain drive rather than shaft drive. Another $200 gets you a creamy two-tone paint job. Seat height: 27.6 inches.

Honda's 750 ACE nets my typical mid sized B rating. Like the 800cc Vulcans, the ACE's less chopper-esque frame geometry is offset with some extra heft.
