2000 Ducati Monster 600 Available Used Only

2000 Ducati Monster 600

Ducati's Monster 600 is the best-selling motorcycle in Italy, where it's considered an icon of contemporary design. Is this the sexiest beginner bike on the planet? At the very least it's the most exotic looking. Despite its name, the Monster is as welcoming to new riders as any 600cc standard or sportbike on the market. Like all 600cc motorcycles, though, it's for those who have mastered the basic maneuvers of motorcycling. If that's you, the Ducati's V-twin engine delivers power in an extremely friendly, usable manner, and the striking lattice frame offers excellent handling. And the engine makes that distinctive Ducati roar. At $5999, the 'Dark' version is identical except for matte black paint. Seat height: 30.3 inches.

It's a great bike, but still towards the high end of what I recommend. Plus, high maintenance costs.

On the high side of a beginner sport/standard machine and pricey at that.
