2003 Triumph Bonneville
Beginner Bikes
Kawasaki beat Triumph to the retro market with its now discontinued W650, but the 2003 Bonneville has what no other bike can create: the Triumph name and history. The Bonneville was the sportbike to have in the 1960s. The new Bonneville offers modern convenience and performance with unmistakable styling. The bike's 790cc vertical-twin engine produces 62 horsepower, suitable only for those who have already spent time on a motorcycle. For the beginner, the W650 makes a better choice, but some will simply have to have the British moniker, and who can blame them. Seat height: 30.5 inches.

If you absolutely MUST have a Triumph, then this is the bike to get. Still not what I'd consider good first bike as its larger, heavier and generally benefits from someone with experience at the helm.
